I'm an ostrich and I'm the largest Ostheimer bird. Although I'm too big to fly, my long legs make me a very fast runner. With alert little round eyes, I gaze across the savannah and fluff my soft, bushy feathers again and again. I'm also well known for the large eggs I lay.
Ostheimer have been handcrafting the finest natural wooden toys in Germany for more than 70 years. Inspired by the Waldorf educational principles of Rudolf Steiner, each figure is individually carved with love and care using Ostheimer’s signature soft shapes and gentle colours, bringing warmth and beauty into children’s imaginary play and story-telling.
